Over the past 30 years, Joe Hepler has been vice-president of three large-volume custom homebuilding companies. He, along with Steve Ellis, had a strong desire to get away from the big corporate atmosphere and get back to what they do best – working one on one with families to design and build their dream home, while most importantly, staying within their budget. Joe’s experience in marketing and negotiating with suppliers and manufacturers gives Craftsman the edge they need to do deliver a quality home at a better price. Something that is a challenging, but personally rewarding goal for both Joe and Steve.
Steve Ellis has been hands-on in new home construction since 1999 when he started Countryside Homes in Danville, VA. From 2006 until 2015 he served as General Construction Manager for one of the largest custom home building companies in Central Virginia. Prior to building new homes, Steve’s company, Country Living Land Development Corp, bought large land parcels and subdivided them into “mini-estates”. The combined experience of Steve and Joe gives Craftsman Custom Home Builders the unique ability to quickly solve any question or issue that might arise in the building process.
